The SimWindFarm toolbox is developed as part of the Aeolus FP7 project and is aimed at providing a fast wind farm simulation environment for development of wind farm control algorithms.
Simulation of added turbulence in the wakes is developed and added to SimWindFarm as part of the work in the project NORCOWE. It is added on this web page for convenience.
The toolbox provides simple turbine models along with wind field generation and turbine wake simulation. The toolbox provides two different approaches to wind field generation; one where taylor's frozen turbulence is assumed and one where wind is generated for each turbine.
The SimWindFarm toolbox v1.0 supports the following features
